Universal Events Inc. Earns Great Place to Work Certification for the Fourth Consecutive Year

Universal Events Inc. has been certified as a Great Place to Work for the fourth consecutive year. The certification is issued by Great Place to Work, an independent third-party organization, and is based entirely on anonymous employee survey data. The employer does not design the survey or review responses before submission.

The survey measures trust in leadership, fairness, respect, camaraderie, and pride in the organization. Employees respond directly to Great Place to Work, not to Universal Events. The outcome is determined by what those employees actually say.

What four consecutive certifications mean

Getting certified once demonstrates that a company met the threshold at a specific moment in time. Getting certified four years in a row demonstrates something more: that the culture being described in those surveys is consistent, not circumstantial.

Universal Events founder and CEO Harmony Vallejo has long held that the quality of the work delivered to nonprofit partners is directly tied to the quality of the environment in which that work is produced. A team that is treated well, trusted, and fairly compensated produces campaigns that reflect those qualities. A team that is not does the opposite.

Why this matters for nonprofit partners

The nonprofits that partner with Universal Events are deploying the firm into communities on their behalf. The brand ambassadors and outreach coordinators who represent those campaigns are, in effect, representing the nonprofits themselves. The authenticity and commitment they bring to that work is not separable from the culture they are part of.

Universal Events has supported organizations including Stand for the Silent, Law Enforcement Against Drugs and Violence (LEAD), and Tilly's Life Center. For those partners, the question of whether Universal Events is a place where people are engaged and cared for is not an internal matter. It is a question about the quality of the work they receive.

The Great Place to Work certification is publicly verifiable at the Great Place to Work website. Four consecutive years of certification reflects what the people at Universal Events have said, consistently, about their experience working there.
