When someone searches for reviews of Universal Events Inc., they are usually doing one of two things: considering a job with us, or considering us as a partner for their nonprofit campaign. Both deserve the same answer, which is not a sales pitch. It is a list of independent sources, none of which we control, where you can read what people say and check every claim we make. This post is that list.
Employee reviews: Glassdoor and Indeed
Reviews from current and former team members live on Glassdoor and Indeed. We link to both from the reviews page on this site, and we do not curate, filter, or respond selectively. Read them all, the critical ones included. Every workplace produces a range of experiences, and we would rather you see the full range than a version we trimmed. If you are interviewing with us, bring anything you read to the interview and ask about it directly. Our team answers those questions every week, and honest questions get honest answers.
Independent certification: Great Place to Work
Universal Events Inc. has been certified as a Great Place to Work for four consecutive years. That certification is not purchased and not self-declared. It is based on confidential survey responses collected directly from employees by Great Place to Work, an independent research firm. Our certification profile is public, and we encourage you to look it up on greatplacetowork.com rather than take our word for it.
Recognition from the causes we serve
In 2024, Law Enforcement Against Drugs named Universal Events Inc. and our CEO, Harmony Vallejo, its National Partner of the Year. Recognition from a nonprofit partner is the review that matters most to us, because it comes from the people closest to the results of the work. Our partners have also put their experience in writing: Stand for the Silent has described how the campaigns we support make their school presentations and scholarships possible, and prevention programs we work with credit that support for reaching communities nationwide. Those testimonials, with the partners named, are on our reviews page.
What about the criticism?
Some of what you will find in a search is critical commentary on forums and video platforms, some of it aimed at our industry as a whole. We built our transparency page to answer the hard questions directly: how professional fundraising is regulated, how our campaigns are structured, and how we work with the nonprofits we serve. We would rather answer a hard question in public than hope you do not ask it. If your question is not answered there, email us and we will answer it.
How to verify anything we say
Every claim in this post can be checked without trusting us: the Great Place to Work certification on their public registry, the employee reviews on Glassdoor and Indeed, the partner recognition with the partners themselves, and the regulatory framework for professional fundraising with your state's charity regulator. That is how it should be. An organization that asks communities for trust should be easy to verify.
