Universal Events Identifies Counterproductive Habits

We at Universal Events believe all ambitious people want to perform to their fullest potential. After all, that’s a large part of what makes them so ambitious. At the same time, however, many of those same individuals inadvertently hold themselves back due to counterproductive habits. These are some of the most common unhelpful behaviors: • Substituting Caffeine For Water: There’s nothing wrong with a cup of joe in the morning, but it won’t benefit you nearly as much as water will. Drinking coffee throughout the day is even more harmful. As our team at Universal Events has learned, it’s best to start with water. Have your coffee later, but continue the water intake to balance it. • Monitoring Email Too Closely: You don’t have to dive into your email the moment you arrive at the office, nor do you have to check it every 10 minutes. Being tied to it puts you in the position of reacting to other’s demands, so take a more proactive approach instead. Scan your inbox every morning to check for urgent messages, then schedule some time to peruse your mail more extensively later in the day. • Skipping Breakfast: Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day, yet so many people forego it. At Universal Events, we understand that you may not have time to prepare a large morning meal. However, even snacking on some fruit, yogurt, or granola on your way to work will help you focus. If you succumb to any of these bad habits, we recommend that you break them right away for greater productivity.
