Philanthropy is obviously a core Universal Events value, and our work with D.A.R.E. America is as much a labor of love as a profession. We like to expand on this theme though, and spend our time and energy supporting other worthwhile causes as well.

Sometimes this involves making cash donations, but we don’t stop there. These are some other creative Universal Events suggestions for giving back:

Volunteer Our Strengths: Money is always appreciated, but our unique strengths can make a greater impact. For instance, those of us with talents in STEM subjects might help with after-school programs, or aspiring Universal Events chefs could volunteer at a soup kitchen. When we combine doing what we love with doing good, everyone wins.

Sponsor an Event: When we sponsor an event, such as a toy drive or a 5K, not only are we supporting a cause, we are playing to our strengths. Thanks to the nature of our industry we’re experts at marketing initiatives and organizing resources, which means everyone on our team can be involved in whatever capacity (or capacities) they enjoy the most.

While money is always appreciated, there are many other ways to get involved with charitable organizations. With a little creativity and research, it’s possible to give in ways that are far more impactful than a cash donation.
