Getting as much done as possible from day to day is a way of life around Universal Events HQ. We’re always looking for ways to bolster our productivity. These are a few of our favorite reliable strategies for achieving more from one busy workday to another.

One thing we’ve gotten better at is taking care of tougher tasks when we’re at our most alert. For those of us who are morning people, that means tackling urgent priorities as soon as we arrive at the office. We’ve actually found that this is the best approach for everyone, because it allows us to build positive momentum that carries through the rest of the day.

We also schedule time for administrative tasks that might otherwise become distractions. By using this strategy, we’re proactive in returning calls and emails rather than being reactive when they interrupt our work on other priorities. It can take up to a half hour to recover from seemingly minor distractions, so we do our best to avoid them.

Focusing on one thing at a time is another hallmark of our Universal Events productivity approach. Multitasking only spreads our attention over multiple things, which leads to diminished results across the board.

We apply these methods to be as productive as possible every workday. To find out more about our culture, follow us on Facebook
