When it comes to becoming successful, your skills or intelligence are contributing factors. However, there are other necessary qualities. As our Universal Events staff has gleaned from observing high achievers, there are some practices they employ daily that allow them to reap rewards. In fact, these are such easy things to do, you could start making them habits now:

Daily Quiet Time: Whether it’s meditation or prayer, our Universal Events professionals have noted that successful people tend to designate daily time for reflection. This helps them find their mental centers, clear their heads, and regain their focus. Set the timer for 15 minutes and find a quiet and soothing spot. You can meditate, practice breathing, say prayers, or whatever you find works best for you. Once you make this a habit, it’s hard to stop.

Generosity: People who are successful pay it forward whatever chance they get. Our Universal Events employees note this doesn’t have to be in the form of philanthropy. Buy the person behind you a cup of coffee. Drop off some canned goods at a food pantry. Surprise the office with some donuts or pizza.

Gratitude: Always take time to reflect on your blessings. Appreciate the talents and opportunities you have been given. Say thank you to those who assist you in your daily endeavors. Without gratitude, success can’t happen.
