Press Release: Universal Events on March Madness’ Final Four Competitors
PLEASANTON, CA – Managers at Universal Events have selected their representatives for a March Madness competition. Harmony V., the firm’s President, discussed specifics and why contests like this are important to company morale.
“Here at Universal Events we’re dedicated to developing an environment where team members feel supported and empowered on the path to achieving their professional aspirations,” Harmony stated. “Our March Madness competition is one of our favorite ways to further this end. Managers select people to participate based on their sales numbers, and once you’re in the race is on! Players move forward just like they do in a tournament, and the final four get a trip to Las Vegas where the winner is announced!”
Harmony explained further, saying that the four finalists get to enjoy a steak dinner at one of Las Vegas’ most famous restaurants, a place where both Marilyn Monroe and the Rat Pack used to party back in the day. The overall winner also gets $500 cash and the chance to attend an international conference in Atlanta, Georgia.
Meet the Final Four Contestants for Universal Events’ March Madness Contest
The last four marketers standing in this year’s Universal Events March Madness contest are Xaviera L., Katie M., Brendan H. and Anthony M. Each of them has shown exemplary work ethic and dedication to the cause to get here, according to Harmony, and they’re all winners in her book.
When asked what it meant to her when she found out she qualified, Xaviera replied “By qualifying, it illustrates how much potential I have in the business. It lets me know I can surpass my goals if I try −and believe in them. It’s intimidating to compete nationwide, but qualifying to the top four makes all my hard work worthwhile!”
Anthony found the contest very validating as well, saying, “Being here means a lot. Out of all the team members I work with, to be one of the four best fundraisers shows me what I’m made of – and shows my team who’s the best.”
Katie was grateful for the opportunity as well, and had some specific goals when she found out she was in the running. “For this competition, my main goal is just to have fun and really focus on growing, especially getting to work new territories. My goal is to win, but the other three competitors are amazing and deserve number one as well.”
Brendan is the surprise story of this year’s competition, coming out of nowhere to earn a place in the final four. He stated, “My goal is to win the competition. I came in seeded really low and beat much higher seeds. I look forward to upsetting the competition and winning!”
“Winning this event is glamorous, but there’s more to it than the prizes,” Harmony concluded. “Just getting into the final four requires solid habits and consistent focus, week after week. Winning requires passion for both representing our clients and for the process by which one becomes a winner.”
Harmony also stated that she thinks it’s important for everyone at Universal Events to see what it takes to win a contest like this, so they can emulate that attitude moving forward. “Katie put it best when she said ‘Once the winner is announced I’m looking forward to celebrating. That said, I’m also excited for the next step and bringing everything I have learned back to home base. I look forward to fast tracking not only myself, but my team as well.’ That attitude is what makes Katie and all the other qualifiers winners, no matter how the contest turns out,” Harmony concluded.
